Softball Recap: Cortez Victorious

Cortez took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Washington, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Colts came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams on Friday, sneaking past 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Colts have posted since April 17, 2024.

Beautiful Rodriguez and Averi Reason did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with one triple, while Reason went 3-for-4 with one double.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Cortez kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
