Baseball Recap: Raymond Central Comes Up Short

Raymond Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to Platte Valley. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Raymond Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Sykes, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Raymond Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Platte Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Raymond Central has already played their next game, a 9-4 win against Arlington on the 14th. As for Platte Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-0 victory against Louisville on the 11th.
