Basketball Recap: Nueva Esperanza Comes Up Short

Nueva Esperanza played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Franklin Towne Warriors, falling 60-25. Nueva Esperanza was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.

Leading Franklin Towne to victory were Carlo Quattrone and Louis Marchino. Quattrone posted 14 points and seven boards, while Marchino earned 14 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Nyel Waters, who had five points.

This is the second loss in a row for Nueva Esperanza and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Franklin Towne, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Nueva Esperanza will head out to square off against TECH Freire Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin Towne, they will host Philadelphia Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Towne has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three contests.
