Monterey dropped down to 8-7 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Palma Chieftains, falling 11-1. The Toreadors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chieftains earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Monterey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Rose, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

As for Palma, their record now sits at 9-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the contest before.

On Palma's side, they let Dylan Rocchi and Rocco Razzeca run wild. Rocchi went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Razzeca went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Rocchi has become a key player for Palma: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Coming up, Monterey will head out on the road to challenge Soledad at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Everett Alvarez at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
