Basketball Recap: Hiawatha's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hiawatha entered their tilt with Holton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Holton Wildcats with a sharp 60-37 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Red Hawks have posted since December 5, 2023.

Holton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bodie Dillon, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Meyer, who put up eight points.

Hiawatha's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Holton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hiawatha will welcome St. Marys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
