Basketball Recap: Isaac Weiland's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cambria Heights over United

Cambria Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the United Lions, falling 66-45. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-36 back in December of 2024.

Cambria Heights' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Weiland, who posted 14 points. Cameron Abrams was another key player, putting up ten points.

Cambria Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for United, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Cambria Heights will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brookville at 7:15 p.m. on February 12th. United will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Punxsutawney at 7:15 p.m. on February 10th.
