Basketball Recap: Choctaw Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Choctaw Central had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over the Newton County Cougars. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Choctaw Central's victory bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Newton County, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

Coming up, Choctaw Central will take on Morton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Choctaw Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Morton likes a good challenge. Newton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
