Volleyball Recap: Morgan Has No Trouble Against Philo

Morgan had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Philo on Tuesday. The Raiders blew past the Electrics 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Electrics: they've now won five in a row.

Morgan never let Philo on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-18, 25-20.

Allia Rush paced Morgan's offense, picking up 13 kills. Rush got some help from Kaidence Searl and her 24 assists. Rush also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Myka Augenstein, racking up two apiece.

Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Philo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morgan will challenge rival John Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Philo is set to square off against their familiar foe Sheridan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
