Baseball Recap: West Rowan Victorious

West Rowan won against Davie last Saturday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. West Rowan came out on top against the Mount Pleasant Tigers by a score of 11-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Carter Durant was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Blevins, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

West Rowan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Pleasant only posted a batting average of .214.

West Rowan's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Mount Pleasant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Coming up, West Rowan will take on South Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Pleasant, they will challenge South Stanly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
