Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Steele's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Avon, Steele was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the North Ridgeville Rangers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18.

Steele was led to victory by Callie Beckler and Leighton Waynar. Beckler had eight digs and two aces, while Waynar had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Beckler has posted over her last six matchups. Ava Martinez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Steele was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Steele is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for North Ridgeville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Steele will head out on the road to face off against Walsh Jesuit at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Ridgeville, they will host Olmsted Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
