Softball Recap: Monroe Hornets vs. Edgewood Cougars
Monroe took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Edgewood, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cougars 3-1.
Aubri Vandeventer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks.
