Basketball Game Preview: Longwood Panthers vs. Corliss Trojans

The Longwood Panthers will take on the Corliss Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Longwood has 11 straight wins, Corliss has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Longwood is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since November 15, 2023 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Collins, sneaking past 27-25. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two points.

Meanwhile, Corliss was beaten by Little Village 58-4 on Wednesday. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Corliss' loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Longwood, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
