Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martin County). They were the clear victors by a 31-1 margin over the North East Carolina Prep Husky on Friday. Considering the Gators have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Martin County pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for North East Carolina Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martin County will venture away from home to face off against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North East Carolina Prep, they will head out to challenge Gates County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gates County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.18 runs per game on average), something North East Carolina Prep will no doubt try to take advantage of.
