Bridgeland extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They breezed past the Cypress Lakes Spartans to the tune of 44-16. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 28 points or more this season.

As for Cypress Lakes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 414th, while Bridgeland is ranked 90th).

Jimmy Alarcon and Theodis Fields certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Alarcon rushed for 44 yards and one TD, while Fields gained 81 total yards and a touchdown. Alarcon was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards.

Looking ahead, Bridgeland will take on Cypress Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cypress Lakes, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 33-23 victory against Langham Creek on the 30th.
