Baseball Recap: Colebrook Academy Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colebrook Academy). They put the hurt on the Groveton Eagles with a sharp 21-11 win on Monday. The Mohawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Jackson Weir was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Colebrook Academy is undefeated when Weir posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamren Dowse, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Colebrook Academy's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Groveton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
