Basketball Recap: Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 66-48 fall against the Thales Academy Apex Titans. The Lion were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Leading Thales Academy Apex to victory were Gradyn West and Zach Rachmuth. West went 9 for 14 on his way to 22 points and five boards, while Rachmuth went 6 of 12 en route to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Rachmuth has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Edmonds, who posted five points.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Thales Academy Apex, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill has already played their next matchup, a 65-25 loss against GRACE Christian on the 9th. As for Thales Academy Apex, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-33 win against Friendship Christian on the 9th.
