Coatesville and Henderson are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Red Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Coatesville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Henderson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Coatesville fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Avon Grove on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 6-5. The Red Raiders' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Henderson came up short against Downingtown East on Wednesday and fell 5-1.

Henderson got a good showing from Jake Schultz, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Schultz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Henderson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Coatesville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.

Everything went Coatesville's way against Henderson when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Coatesville made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
