Softball Game Preview: Parish Episcopal Panthers vs. Hockaday Daisies

The Parish Episcopal Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Hockaday Daisies at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hockaday took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Parish Episcopal, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Parish Episcopal turned things around against Dallas HSAA Red on Thursday. They blew past the Blue Angels 9-2.

Olivia Waterhouse made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Waterhouse was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabelle Shobe, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Claire Cohen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Hockaday was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-1 to Prince of Peace.
