The Teague Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Ferris Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Teague will head into Friday's match out to bounce back: they came back down to earth on Friday after soaring to a 21-point game in their last game. They fell just short of Tolar by a score of 23-21. The Lions gained 89 more yards on the day, but it was the Rattlers that made the best use of them.

Teague might have lost, but man, Zak Leija was a machine: he rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown. Leija got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 72 yards.

Even though they lost, Teague was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tolar only rushed for 93.

Meanwhile, Ferris lost 41-17 to Peaster on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 657th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 261st).

Although Ferris took the loss, they still got scores from Brandon Mcneal and Gavin Garcia.

Teague's record now sits at 1-1. As for Ferris, their record is now 1-1.
