Softball Game Preview: Chewelah Cougars vs. Northwest Christian School Crusaders

Chewelah is 1-9 against Northwest Christian School since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Crusaders at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Chewelah put up the most runs they have all season on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over Reardan.

Meanwhile, Northwest Christian School entered their tilt with Kettle Falls on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Northwest Christian School's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Chewelah, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.

Chewelah suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Northwest Christian School in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
