The Nathan Hale Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Shorecrest Scots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nathan Hale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Nathan Hale was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cleveland on Monday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by nine runs or more this season.

Jack Dire tossed a big game, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Finn Leach, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julian Gonzalez, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Nathan Hale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Shorecrest came out on top against Lynnwood on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Scots narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Royals 6-4.
Shorecrest also got a great performance from Oliver Verdoes as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Quinn Burnham and Brooks Murray did most of the damage at the plate: Burnham went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Murray went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Burnham has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Koen Ekstrom was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Shorecrest's record is now 10-5. As for Nathan Hale, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Nathan Hale has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Shorecrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Nathan Hale came out on top in a nail-biter against Shorecrest in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
