Basketball Game Preview: Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers vs. Clarkson/Leigh Patriots

The Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers will square off against the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Bancroft-Rosalie needed a bit of extra time to put away Omaha Nation. They snuck past the Chiefs with a 90-85 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clarkson/Leigh, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Oakland-Craig by a score of 51-41 on Tuesday.

Clarkson/Leigh's win came from a few key players Bancroft-Rosalie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kyle McMullin, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Matthies, who posted 19 points and three steals.

The win got Bancroft-Rosalie back to even at 1-1. As for Clarkson/Leigh, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
