Recap: Mililani Trojans vs. Kapolei Hurricanes
On Thursday, the Mililani Trojans faced the Kapolei Hurricanes in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mililani blew past Kapolei 63-32 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Mililani has managed all season.
Mililani found their leader in underclassman Timothy Dorn, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Gabriel, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
The victory (which was Mililani's third in a row) raised their record to 10-4. As for Kapolei, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Campbell the next time they take the court. Mililani will head out to face Campbell at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Kapolei will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
