Volleyball Recap: Rockmart Comes Up Short

Rockmart lost against Alexander last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Yellowjackets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Amazia Christopher paced Rockmart's offense, picking up four kills. Christopher got some help from Avery King and her four assists. King was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Rockmart has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-23 record this season. As for Alexander, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Rockmart has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pepperell on the 20th. As for Alexander, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Cedartown on the 20th.
