Highland and Desert Ridge are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Hawks will square off against the Jaguars at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kelton Floan, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Max Gamboa, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Desert Ridge and bumps their season record up to 8-14. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Highland, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10.
