After only 28 points in their last matchup, Morton made sure to put some points up on the board against Northeast Jones on Tuesday. The Morton Panthers came out on top against the Northeast Jones Tigers by a score of 56-43. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Tigers are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Morton has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Northeast Jones, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Morton Panthers take on the Mendenhall Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Jones, they will face off against West Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
