James Wood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 59-51 victory over the Liberty Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-51 back in December of 2024.

James Wood has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Wood will venture away from home to challenge Handley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Handley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
