Basketball Game Preview: Robertsdale Golden Bears vs. Foley Lions

Robertsdale is 1-9 against Foley since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Robertsdale Golden Bears will venture away from home to take on the Foley Lions at 5:30 p.m.

Robertsdale is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Daphne, falling 59-16. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Trojans are ranked 22nd).

Robertsdale's defeat came about despite a quality game from Lola Mosley, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. That's the most points Mosley has posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Foley beat Fairhope 58-54 on Tuesday.

Foley's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Robertsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Robertsdale was taken down by Foley 47-18 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can Robertsdale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
