Orestimba entered their tilt with Torres on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 38-24 win over the Toros. Orestimba's victory was all the more impressive since the Toros were averaging only 12.8 points allowed on the season.

Orestimba didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Imelda Beltran-Pelayo led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Orestimba's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Torres, they moved to 9-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orestimba will take on Merced at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Torres, they will challenge Atwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
