Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Mary). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Deltona Wolves 88-52. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Wolves are ranked 569th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Deltona still got an impressive performance from Xavier Cerrud, who posted 21 points and three steals. Gage Gentry was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

The win got Lake Mary back to even at 8-8. As for Deltona, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Lake Mary will host Lake Howell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Howell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.8 points per game this season. As for Deltona, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Matanzas at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Deltona also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 56.5 points per game.
