Softball Recap: South Fulton Red Devils vs. Halls Tigers
It was a good run, but South Fulton unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Halls Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to South Fulton of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Maddie Gray was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Gray was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and an RBI.
Gray wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Lee, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
South Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Halls, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
