Volleyball Recap: Peyton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sargent, Peyton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Limon Badgers by a score of 3-1. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Badgers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 23-25, 25-22, 25-14.

Brynlee Ray was nothing short of spectacular: she had 26 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August. Kinsey Hall also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Peyton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 8-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Braelyn Malcom and Chloe Stone certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Malcom had 31 assists and 12 digs, while Stone had 15 digs. Malcom is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Peyton moved to 8-14 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Limon, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Peyton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Evangel Christian Academy on the 1st. As for Limon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Sargent on the 1st.
