Middletown is 8-2 against Tiverton since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Middletown's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over Paul Cuffee.

Meanwhile, Tiverton strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 12-8 win over Lincoln.

Lia Doster was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. That hit was her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jersey-Ann Hastie, who scored a run while going 4-for-5. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Carlie Martin was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Tiverton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only posted a batting average of .300.

Middletown suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Tiverton in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Islanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
