Basketball Recap: Mt. St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short

Mt. St. Joseph Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt an 80-50 loss at the hands of the Fair Haven Slaters. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Green Wave of the 85-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Fair Haven, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. St. Joseph Academy will take on Burr & Burton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fair Haven, they will square off against Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hartford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
