Volleyball Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

Holy Cross's tournament run continued when they took on Berlin on Saturday. The Crusaders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redcoats. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Leading Berlin to victory were Ava Gombotz and Shea Carlson. Gombotz had 14 digs, while Carlson had six digs. That's the most digs Gombotz has posted over her last six contests.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Berlin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Holy Cross didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Kennedy on the 16th. As for Berlin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Haddam-Killingworth on the 11th.
