Soccer Game Preview: Putnam City West vs. Eisenhower

The Putnam City West Patriots will head out to challenge the Eisenhower Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Putnam City West's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norman North on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Putnam City West have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Eisenhower who was credited with the win on Thursday.

Eisenhower is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Putnam City West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7-1.

Putnam City West took their victory against Eisenhower in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
