Baseball Recap: Wister Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Wister had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Poteau Pirates get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Wister pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Poteau, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Wister wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-4 win against Spiro on the 10th. As for Poteau, they have also already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Whitesboro on the 8th.
