Baseball Recap: Lake Mills Takes a Loss

Lake Mills entered their contest against Cambridge on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The L-Cats fell 8-5 to the Bluejays. The L-Cats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bluejays apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mason Flood made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Mills and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Cambridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Mills will challenge Poynette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cambridge, they will square off against Waterloo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
