Volleyball Recap: Bree Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Newton over Lowell + How To Watch

North Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lowell Red Devils. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Newton wouldn't go down easily and took Lowell into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-12, 25-12, 21-25, 15-13.

North Newton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bree Anderson, who had 15 digs.

North Newton's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Lowell, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

North Newton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against North White on the 7th. As for Lowell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Wheeler on the 8th.
