Soccer Recap: Fleming Island Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Fleming Island had no trouble coming through when it counted. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Fleming Island Golden Eagles who were credited with the victory on Wednesday. The Fleming Island Golden Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Orange Park Raiders's three. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

The win got Fleming Island back to even at 7-7-3. As for Orange Park, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 12-3-1 record.

Fleming Island wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Mosley on the 4th. As for Orange Park, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Chiles on the 4th.
