Recap: Lake Cormorant vs. Neshoba Central
Neshoba Central earned some more postseason success in their contest on Friday. They were able to grind out a solid win over Lake Cormorant on Friday, winning 36-28. Neshoba Central's victory was all the more impressive since Lake Cormorant was averaging only 17.33 points allowed on the season.
The Rockets got off to a sluggish start, posting seven total points in the first half. Lake Cormorant countered with 14 points to make it 14-7 going into the half. The Neshoba Central offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 29 points.
The victory was the 10th in a row for the Rockets and raised their record to 10-3. Lake Cormorant's overall record now falls to 8-5.
The Rockets will go up against West Point in continuing playoff action next week. The stakes are high as those two teams are all in, each fighting to extend its postseason success. Lake Cormorant's playoff loss brings an end to their season.
