Basketball Game Preview: University Eagles vs. Royal Oak Ravens

University is 1-7 against Royal Oak since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the University Eagles challenge the Royal Oak Ravens at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

University will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Stoney Creek, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. University walked away with a 62-54 victory over Stoney Creek on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Royal Oak entered their tilt with Southfield Christian on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They snuck past the Eagles with a 57-53 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Ravens' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Eagles are ranked 149th).

Royal Oak's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for University, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
