Baseball Game Preview: Central Decatur Cardinals vs. Wayne Falcons

Central Decatur has gone 8-2 against Wayne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cardinals will square off against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Central Decatur is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Central Decatur fell victim to Southeast Warren and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks.

Meanwhile, Wayne came up short against Lenox on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Falcons have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Central Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Central Decatur skirted past Wayne 11-10 in their previous meeting back in May. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
