Basketball Recap: Irvington Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Irvington lost against Moreau Catholic back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings were outmatched by the Mariners and fell 78-36. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 686th, while the Mariners are ranked 52nd).

Moreau Catholic found their leader in sophomore Brenden Williams, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Clendinen, who posted 16 points and seven steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Irvington and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Moreau Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Irvington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 85-21 victory against Hill on the 11th. As for Moreau Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-50 win against Oakland on the 13th.
