Volleyball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Takes a Loss

Maroa-Forsyth was the 2-0 winner over Sullivan when they last played one another back in March of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Maroa-Forsyth sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 25-19.

Morgan Woolum paced Maroa-Forsyth's offense, picking up 11 kills. Woolum got some help from Jacy Ravenscraft and her 29 assists. Woolum was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Maroa-Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sullivan, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Maroa-Forsyth has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Monticello on the 28th. As for Sullivan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Neoga on the 28th.
