Recap: Webberville Spartans vs. Bendle Tigers
The Webberville Spartans pushed their score all the way to 61 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 80-61 fall against Bendle. While losing is never fun, Webberville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Bendle is ranked 71st).
Bendle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Boyd out in front who scored 16 points. Gabe Alomar was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Webberville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bendle, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webberville will face off against Dryden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bendle won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clio at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Clio is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
