Baseball Recap: Homestead Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Homestead won against Hillsdale last Saturday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Mustangs walked away with a 7-3 win over the Milpitas Trojans. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Logan Christianson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Homestead: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ajay Lohitsa, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Homestead now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Milpitas, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Homestead will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
