Basketball Recap: Groves Piles Up the Points Against Clarenceville

A well-balanced attack led Groves over Clarenceville in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Groves Falcons blew the Clarenceville Trojans out of the water with a 65-15 final score. With the Falcons ahead 45-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Harlem Simpson was her usual excellent self, going 12 of 22 en route to 26 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacey Roy, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Groves smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
