Basketball Game Preview: East Chicago Central Cardinals vs. Laporte Wildcats

After both having extra time off, the East Chicago Central Cardinals and the Laporte Wildcats will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for East Chicago Central and 20 for Laporte dating back to last season.

It was a proper cat-fight when East Chicago Central took on South Bend Washington last Saturday. East Chicago Central took a blow against South Bend Washington, falling 63-33. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Panthers are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Laporte might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting South Bend Adams an easy 53-29 victory.

East Chicago Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Laporte, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.
