Basketball Recap: North Port Comes Up Short

North Port saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 65-55 to the Homestead Broncos.

Homestead's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaiden Horton, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave Horton a new career-high in assists. Diego Canseco was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 18 points.

North Port has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Homestead, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

North Port didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-55 win against Gulf Coast on the 21st. As for Homestead, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-53 victory against Everglades City on the 21st.
